Bill White

Ocean Springs, MS

We did retire from our photography business many years ago, but we don't seem to be able to give it up. Bill still shoots football and other sports for the Ocean Springs High School. He has always donated the sports pictures to the school for free. I still take pictures and repair old photos. This works right into my other love genealogy where I add many of the old photos. We are members of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Photography Club. Some of the members meet weekly at The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Arts Center., 1600 Government St. Ocean Springs, MS 39564. The club puts on shoots that are great fun. They also give classes on photography plus Photoshop and Lightroom software. Best of all it is free. We are redoing our studio here at the house, just for the fun of it and I'm sure some of our photography friends will enjoy it with us. We have a daughter and granddaughter that can't wait for us to get it done. Photography runs it this family.

Lettie White

Bill has had a camera in his hand since the age of twelve. With a father who was a photographer, it was only natural for him to follow in his footsteps. While in school, Bill joined the Photography Club, where he captured countless images of school activities. Over time, his interest shifted to airplanes, which eventually led him—through his love of flying—into aerial photography. For the past several years, Bill has generously donated his time and talent to Ocean Springs High School, photographing sports and providing images for the yearbook, coaches, and school administration. He also contributes sports photography to the local newspapers. Despite his busy schedule, Bill still enjoys attending airshows and photographing planes, a passion that has stayed with him since his youth.

Lettie has loved photography since her teenage years, though she began mostly on the other side of the camera. In time, she discovered an equal joy in taking the pictures herself. As a dedicated genealogist, she treasures family photographs and has developed a talent for restoring old or damaged images. Her work preserves not just pictures, but memories, keeping family history alive for future generations.
